A field experiment was carried out for control of weeds in potato fields under rainfed condition during 2001 and 2002. The results indicated that prometryn 50 WP @ 0.75 kg a.i. resulted in higher yield (95.10 q/ha) of potato. However, one hand weeding + earthing up resulted in achieving maximum tuber yield (106.88 q/ha) and was significant.
