Potato apical leaf curl disease of potato detected recently in India, causes severe yield losses in susceptible potato cultivars sown in October at Hisar. The disease incidence had positive correlation with white fly population and white fly infestation period. Kufri Ashoka and JX-I were found highly susceptible while Kufri Bahar had good degree of resistance against this disease.Though crop sown on 16 November and 1 December had lowest disease incidence, it had lowest tuber yield. However, sowing on 1st November resulted in both lower disease incidence and maximum tuber yield due to lower vector activity.
