Abstract

During 2001–02 and 2002–03, aphids, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Aphis gossypii, Glover crossed the threshold limit (20 aphids per 100 compound leaves) during third to fourth week of January at Hooghly. The highest percentage of viral incidence was of PLRV (24%), followed by SM (17.5%) and MM (14.5%), respectively at the time of crop dehaulming.
