Abstract

An evaluation of tuber yield, dry matter and storage behaviour of seven potato cultivars including those suitable for processing in the sub-tropical plains of Gujarat (Deesa) established that cv. Kufri Chipsona-1 having high dry matter, good keeping quality and high yield, can be cultivated there for chipping. Potato cv. Kufri Jawahar can also help avoid monoculture of Kufri Badshah in Gujarat.
