Abstract

The effect of Chlorpropham (40 ml/tonne fog) was studied on the extent of sprouting, weight loss and sweetness in four cultivars of potato at 10±1°C and 90–95% RH. The fogging with chlorpropham proved effective in minimizing the weight loss, checking the sprouting and accumulation of reducing sugars in Kufri Jyoti and Kufri Chandramukhi, thereby maintaining quality up to six months of 10°C storage.
