Tubers of eleven cultivars were stored at 8, 12, 16 and 20°C with CIPC treatment and compared with those stored at 4°C without CIPC treatment. Weight loss of tubers increased with increase in storage temperature and was 4.2, 3.9, 6.7, 8.8 and 11.8% at 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20°C respectively, after 120 days of storage. Weight loss was maximum in Kufri Chipsona-2 and minimum in Kufri Sindhuri. Chip colour deteriorated in all the cultivars when prepared after 100 days of tuber storage and reconditioning did not improve the chip colour to an acceptable level in most of the cultivars.
