Effect of plant growth regulators on potato production

In the present investigation, effect of some plant growth regulators sprayed on potato crop under field conditions was studied. GA₃ and NAA increased the plant growth measured in terms of plant height and number of leaves. The application of GA₃ @ 200 ppm increased the number of tubers per plant and yield per plant followed by NAA. Maximum tuber yield of potato (374 q/ha) was obtained when foliar application was done twice (25 and 50 DAP) with NAA 50ppm and the increment was 15.1 % more than that of control (325 q/ha).
