Hitherto unrecorded potato brown ring spot strain of potato virus x

The present virus isolate was observed to produce brown ring spot symptoms on potato (Solanum tuberosum L) variety Kufri Chandramukhi in nature as well as on artificial inoculation in the glasshouse. Based on symptomatology, host range, transmission characterstics, serological and physical Property it has been identified as unrecorded potato brown ring spot strain of PYX.
