Periodic determinations of chlorophyll content, dry matter ahd tuber production were made on potato plants. Plants exposed to long days at 15° and 25°C showed higher chlorophyll content and dry matter as compared with the plants grown under short days at the respective temperatures. There was marked decline in chlorophyll content, dry matter and tuber production at 25°C night temperature under short days as compared with lower temperature while no deleterious effect of high temperature on chlorophyll content was observed under long days.
