Field trials were conducted for 3 years for the control of potato seed piece decay. It was observed that a 10 minute dip treatment in 0.2% solution of Difolatan or Thiram gave similar plant emergence and yield as planting of whole tubers, especially in the plantings in the first half of October. Treatment of seed pieces with a mixture of Agrimycin-100 and Blitox-50 adversely affected the germination.
