Abstract

Ten Varieties of potato were evaluated for four environments and stability parameters were studied for yield (q/ha). Highly significant differences between genotypes and environments were recorded. Environment II gave the highest mean yield. Varieties J. F.-4870, J. F.-24 and Kufri Sindhuri have given high mean yield and high stability, therefore, they were treated as stable genotypes. Variety J. F.-4870 was found highest yielding with bighest stability. Therefore, this variety can be considered stable and can be used funher in the exploitation of potato genotypes.
