Prevention of potato plants from viruses and insect vectors
Abstract
The potato (Solanum tuberosum) plants of var. Kufri Chandramukhi and Kufri Red were prevented by foilar spray of Mirabilis jalapa L. leaf extract, from the infection of tomato yellow mottle virus (serologically related to tobacco mosaic virus) under glass house conditions and from naturally occurring potato leaf roll virus and vector insects (aphids) under field conditions.
