Six chemotherapeutants and their combinations were tested against hairy sprout (HS), by tuber dip and spraying yellows infected potato, plants. The treatments applied on HS tubers were not effective but spraying on plants with Tetracycline was effective in preventing HS development. Tetracycline + Benlate and Benlate + Urea also controlled HS development induced by marginal flavescence. Tetracycline, BP 101, Bavistin, Benlate and Urea Sprays were good against HS, induced by potato purple top roll disease.
