Trials were laid out in the research area of Botany Department for studying the effect of cytozyme on tuber number, 100 tuber weight, composition and yield in potato during autumn 1977, 1978 and 1979. Seed bed application plus one foliar spray with cytozyme (375 ml/ha) after 40 days of planting gave the maximum yield. This product improved the number of tubers per plant as well as the weight per tuber. Seed bed application as well as foliar spray with cytozyme increased the iron and zinc contents in tubers.
