An experiment was set up to determine the physiological age of the imported potato seed tubers and to study the inter relationship between the date of planting and treatment with a mixture of gibberellic acid and thiourea.
The results indicated that the imported potato seed tubers were “physiological young” and they had not reached the suitable physiological age for planting. Delay in planting from 10th January to 30th January, 1980 or treatment with mixture of gibberellic acid and thiourea or both of them advanced the physiological age of the seld tubers.
