Efficacy of sex-pheromone of potato tubermoth has been evaluated on water traps for control of the pest in the country stores around Peth and Karegaon villages of Poona district. Regular catches of male moths in pheromone-baited water traps protected potatoes from tubermoth infestation to the extent of 88 to 100% and 80 to 99% in country storage for 2½ and 4 months, respectively. Frequent treatment of straw 1 yer covering the potatoes in the country stores with 0.03% endosulfan emulsion kept stored tubers almost free from pest damage throughout the storage period.
