This paper reviews the brief introduction to RFID, its components, need and use of RFID technology in Library and Information Centers and also discusses the some of the advantages and dis-advantages. Finally, it gives an account of the implementation of security systems and RFID Technology in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Library. The paper concludes with a caution to the Librarians to protect user's privacy.
