Knowledge Portals play vital role in providing relevant\and specific views in the form of information to the users on the World Wide Web Sites. The present parper tried to address the newly emerging paradigm of scientific knowledge distribution and collaboration. It also tried to examine the recent trends in Library and Information Services including digitalisation of libraries. Finally the author also made an attempt to examine the role played by the knowledge portals and problems encountered by it in its application.
