The Digital Library required a number of skills like design, development and management, although many of the skills, tools and techniques required managing traditional libraries are equally applicable to digital ones, they may need to be modified or sharpened to meet the requirements of the digital library world. New sets of skills, tools and techniques are also required. This paper outlines the broad sets of skills required to design, develop and manage digital libraries.
