This study is a bibliometric analysis of the research output of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar during the period from 2005 to 2014. This paper describes the growth, contribution and impact of research carried out by the faculties, research scholars and students of Utkal University. An attempt has been initiated to analyse the growth and development of research activity of the university as reflected in publications output covered by SCOPUS database during the studied period. The study assumes to examine the content of papers published, including the annual average growth rate percent, organisational affiliation of papers with the geographical distribution and author's affiliation to different academic institutions. Bradford's law is also used to find the core journals as per the interest of the authors accordingly.
