Reading Habit among the School Children: A Case Study of Village Libraries in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, India

Abstract

This paper reports the results of a study on the reading habit and attitude of the school children in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, India. A total number of 250 school children were taken into account for the study through a questionnaire-based survey method. A well-structured questionnaire was designed and distributed to the selected 250 school children. The collected data were classified, analysed and tabulated by using simple statistical methods. This study covers the impact of print resources on users in their libraries.
