The influence of print and electronic media on the society is huge. So, the responsibility of what reaches the people must be well researched and as far as possible error free with responsibility comes accountability. It is important to have adequate knowledge about the required information and seeking behaviour of the users. This knowledge helps to procure a healthy collection and develop the library service to the users. This study results the information management process by the professional librarians in the media libraries of Odisha, India. It was also found that there are different categories of users visit media library to use library resources and acquire the much needed information. The necessity of a library exists when the concerned newspaper concentrates on the quality and content of the news. So, media has to be more fair, accurate, honest, responsible and decent to regain the public trust and retain ahead. Truth & professionalism should remain their guiding principle.
