In recent times, it has been very much essential for the institutions of higher learning to facilitate the users ’community to develop necessary information retrieval skills through some fundamental programs like user orientation, information literacy and computer literacy through some modular courses. This paper discusses a brief account of emerging technologies, information literacy, changes in higher education and its impact upon library. It also highlights how faculty-librarian collaboration and the proactive role of librarians in ensuring right information to the right user in the right time and blending information literacy and technologies in higher education.
