Use of Electronic Information Resources at Selected First Grade College Libraries in Kolar District Karnataka: An Analytical Study

Abstract

In this article the scholar conducted a study on the selected first grade college libraries in Kolar District of Karnataka among the faculty to study their knowledge perceptions and attitudes to words Electronic Information Resources (EIRs). The objective of this study therefore was To know the availability of different types of eresources in libraries Well-structured questionnaire was distributed to the selected college library users to examine preference and importance of e-resources, to suggest the ways and means for strengthening of the eresources collection development. Investigator has taken three first grade colleges. The data were collected with the aid of a questionnaire. This suggests that awareness is high and utilization is low. Therefore this study recommends that improve the use of e-Resources in the library and create user awareness for utilization of library services.
