Use of e-Journals: A Case Study of Science and Technology Faculty of Savitribai Phule Pune University

The electronic method of storage and retrieval of knowledge has become a boon to the libraries. Electronic journals are becoming increasingly important within all kinds of electronic documents. Electronic journals are very prominent due to its various features and availability in various forms like HTML, PDF, and Doc etc. Jaykar library, SPPU is spending huge amount on electronic journals and therefore there is a need to study that whether the subscribed electronic journals are used by the users. The present study is an attempt to examine the usage of electronic journals in Savitribai Phule Pune University. The study revealed that the users of Science and Technology faculty use all the e-journals subscribed by Savitribai Phule Pune University.
