Roles of the libraries become very critical in present era due to rapid changes in technologies and learning patterns of the users. These changes are enforcing to the libraries to play multiple roles in this online and technology driven era in order to provide effective services to the users particularly in higher education sector. Thus, this study aims to examine the roles of the university libraries in massive open online courses (MOOCs) domain. This study may be useful to the library and information science professionals and libraries to get involved in MOOCs activities at the large level.
