The main objective of the study is to find out the impact of E-Resources and use of social media by the research scholars in Osmania University. The study also focuses on what purpose scholars are using social media. The study was conducted through structured questionnaire administered to 150 Research Scholars. 120 questionnaires were received. The impact of e-resources on scholars by using social media scholars opted first rank as quality of their research work is improved i.e., 60 (50%), followed by it saves the time of the scholars to literature search 26 (21.7%) scholars opted last preference as Enhance research publication 4 (3.3%). The study also focuses on what purpose social media is using by the research scholars they are opted first rank to Update the Knowledge 50 (41.7%), second rank given for Latest/current information 26 (21.7%). Majority of the scholars are using WhatsApp 74 (61.7%) followed by Facebook (28%), last preference opted as Flicker.
