The aim of the paper is to compare the web-enabled information services facilitated through the websites of central and deemed university libraries of Delhi and NCR. The literature review and content analysis of the websites were used to find out the various services provided by them, to select the services for the study and to prepare a checklist. The services were selected from the point of view of the patrons. Only five information services beneficial for patrons were selected for the study. Top 100 universities of India (National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF)-2017) was used to select central and deemed university libraries of Delhi and NCR for the study. Statistical tools used to analyse the data statistically were mean and percentage analysis. Findings revealed that central university libraries are facilitating quite a large number of web-enabled information services through their websites, while deemed university libraries are lagging behind in the same. This study provides a unique insight by comparing the provision of web-enabled information services offered by selected central and deemed university library information centres of Delhi and NCR. The effectiveness and usability of the services need to be studied. The paper is an attempt to highlight the gaps between central and deemed university libraries as all have good quality infrastructure and all types of resources.
