A comparative study of electronic and print resources among library users

Abstract

This research contrasts the usage of print and electronic resources in selected libraries of Andhra Pradesh. The questionnaires were distributed among 100 library users and 97 completed responses were collected; the response rate was 97%. The paper focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of the tools, consumer opinion on the usefulness of electronic and print services indicates that the majority of users find it happy. In order to improve their use of the library, user orientation programs should be organized in the form of product demonstrations, tutorials and hands-on training to train users in the use of online resources.
