Abstract

Blockchain technology is a decentralized system that provides an approach to digital records and transactions without having an intervention of third party intermediaries over the internet. The complexity and multiple tasks of Indian Library networks provoked me to bring all the networks on to a single platform, assuming and leveraging the blockchain technology as the one aspect which integrates distributed consensus. Blockchain as a transformative technology I have explained how it works, assessment questions to adopt blockchain technology in library networks, various proposed use case examples from different organizations, explored advantages and limitations in adopting Blockchain technology for Indian library networks.
