This paper “Status and Conditions of Prison Libraries in India” deals with status of Prison Libraries i.e. number of prison libraries established in various states in India. Number of resources available, type of resources, discipline of resources, availability of LIS professionals, budget allocation. Also focused on how much time the user i.e. prisoners/inmates spent in libraries. And also describes most used resource, user satisfaction level in the Prison libraries in India is analysed.
