The present study is undertaken in order to analytically study the open access (OA) medicine journals published from India retrieved from the SC Imago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) database. The data necessary for this study will be retrieved from the SJR database; which provides various metrics for more than 25000 scholarly journals including OA, Only SciELO Journals and Only Web of Science (WoS) Journals. This study focuses on the OA journals of Medicine area including all its subject categories published from India and which are indexed only in WOS. Research impact of the top 10 ranked medicine journals in 2020 will be analytically studied by using various impact indicators. The main aim of this study is to show how the OA movement has influenced the research impact of journals in the universe of knowledge and has brought a paradigm shift in the publishing industry.
