Journal rankings are widely used in academia to assess the impact and quality of scholarly journals. A journal ranking's purpose is to reflect a journal's position within its field, the relative difficulty of being published in that journal, and the reputation associated with it. SCImago Journal Rank - A measure of the scientific impact of scholarly journals that accounts for the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or reputation of the journals from which such citations come. This paper examined citation-based analysis using the SCImago journal rank to compare Biometrika and Biometrics journals published from 1965 onwards, particularly in statistics and mathematics in the biosciences. This study examined SJR ranking, H indexes and best quartile in the year 2020. The SJR for Biometrics and Biometrika journals is 2.298 and 3.307, respectively, and the h-index is 130 and 122. Both journals are in the Quartile one category. In addition, several citable and non-citable documents, self-citations, and total citations of both journals from 1965 to 2020 were discovered.
