A comparative study of digital resources usage and services in the arts and science and engineering college libraries of Tamil Nadu: With special reference to islamic management colleges

This Paper discusses the study between the comparison of Digital resources and services provided by the Islamic Management Engineering colleges and Arts & Science colleges of Tamil Nadu. Objective of the study is to find out the Digital resources availability, awareness, usage level and satisfaction among the users of Muslim Management Engineering colleges and Arts & Science college Libraries of Tamil Nadu. Research Methodology Adopted As systematic questionnaire has been prepared and distributed among the users of Islamic Management Arts & science college and Engineering college Libraries. Findings of this study is usage of digital resources is high in Arts and Science colleges compared with Engineering Colleges. This study further highlights the strength and weakness of the services provided through the libraries and suggests the need for a scientific and systematic training programme to the user community so as to effectively satisfy their information needs. Overall findings of the study reveal that the users are satisfied with usage of digital resources in Arts and Science colleges and Engineering colleges. This Article also tries to give suggestions for the improvement of Digital resources utilization and services in both the category of colleges.
