Form - Wise distribution of citations in library and information science research

Citation analysis of 81 theses submitted to four universities in Andhra Pradesh in the field of Library and Information Science has been carried out to determine the use pattern of literature by researchers in Information Science. The analysis revealed 12 bibliographic forms, which are clearly explained in the tabular form. The Researchers are mostly dependent on journals for their information needs as they are primary sources of information and report the original research works. Books occupy the second place.
