Open educational resources (OERs): Issues and problems by the faculty members of technical universities of Odisha

Abstract

The Open Educational Resources (OER) is a radical change in the area of education and research. OER has offered better solutions to achieve a greater level of efficiency, fruitfulness and quality service in libraries. OER contain full courses, course materials, videos, print materials, textbooks, knitting techniques to utilize access knowledge (Hewlett Foundation, 2016). According to NIRF ranking 2023: Universities, Two Technical Universities of odisha are present in the top 100 Universities. The study is confined to only Faculties. The analyst has taken a random sample of visiting all the departments of the Universities. During the visit to the departments the investigator distributed the questionnaire to the faculties of the concerned disciplines of the university. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed among the faculties of all discipline s. Out of which 123 users responded to the questionnaire. The study explore that, Open Educational Access has become a major source of data sharing, as it provides timely access to data anywhere in the globe without dimensional barrier.
