A scientometric analysis of ergonomics research papers published from 2005 to 2024 was conducted using Scopus data and analyzed using MS Excel, R-Studio, and VOS Viewer. The findings indicate a stable rise in research, a peak in 2021, with the impact of recent citations declining. Journal articles and review papers dominate, with Applied Ergonomics as the leading journal. Research output has shown higher publication rates among developed nations; similarly, the most productive institutions and researchers are located in developed countries, which indicates geographical disparities in research output. The analysis reveals that journal articles and review papers constitute most publications, with Applied Ergonomics found to be the most influential journal. The USA and European funding agencies have significantly influenced research trends. The study emphasizes the need for global collaboration and expanded research in developing regions.
