Abstract

This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of global research on acute gastroenteritis (AGE) and its associated mortality, focusing on identifying key trends, research priorities, and leading contributors. Using data from the Scopus database, 366 relevant articles published between 2015 and 2024 were analyzed. The findings revealed that 2021 had the leading contributors to acute gastroenteritis (AGE) research, with prominent publications appearing in journals like Pancreatology and the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery. Universities and medical centers were identified as the primary research institutions. It provides insight into acute gastroenteritis research publication trends, citation records, author-wise distribution, and the role of institutions in this field.
