The growth and development of LIS research is multifaceted and turbulent. But it is to note that in line with the growth and development of LIS research, there is a lacuna in application of scientific tools such as scaling and Multivariate statistical procedures. It is evident that if these tools are used for for the construction of questionnaire and data analysis respectively for our research, we are simplifying our data collection and analysis so as to achieve systematic results for fruitful applications. Thus, this paper tries to illustrate how to apply these tools in a real research environment. And the authors are hopeful that it is a role model for the LIS researchers who are all trying to use these techniques.
