This paper deals with the present conditions/status of 10 first grade college libraries in Chitradurga and Challakere town. The Investigator designed a Set of questionnaires and distributed to the first Grade College/Under Graduate College librarians for collecting the required data for the present study. The analysis of the collected data covers the organization set up of the college libraries, different type sources and services, physical facilities provided by the library authority, status of computerization of different areas and internet facilities to users. Finally concludes that the present statuses of first grade college libraries are not meeting the prescribed norms.
