Academic College libraries are not lagging behind in using the latest IT tools for dissemination of information among the vast user community. This survey reports the effect of Information Technology on resources and services of Academic College Libraries of Mumbai and its suburban area. It reports that the healthy competition amongst the academic colleges to acquire higher grade by NAAC is one of the main causes to upgrade the infrastructural facilities. The study further emphasizes that the implementation of IT infrastructure mainly depends on interest of management; students response; librarians’ willingness to adopt the IT; and above all the budget factor.
