Abstract

This present study aims to evaluate AI literacy among librarians in academic libraries by identifying the knowledge gaps, assessing the impact of AI on academic library services, determining the training needs, promoting effective AI integration, supporting decision-making with AI, and understanding librarians' attitudes toward AI adoption. Employing this research study approach, primary data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire, using a convenience sampling method. The 250 questionnaires were distributed to librarians across Karnataka, of which 179 responses were received and analyzed using the central tendency tests.
