Library 2.0 is a concept of intermingling of Web 2.0 services with library services. The changes occur due to application of Web 2.0 into library services in the information environment offer great opportunities for the progressive libraries to reach out far beyond the boundaries of their buildings and web sites and to engage with an increasingly literate body of the information users. This paper discusses some of the basic concepts of Library 2.0 services and its prospects in library & information centres.
