The study was undertaken to access the awareness and the use of the National Virtual Library of Nigeria by some selected universities in the South-West Nigeria. The ultimate goal is to find out whether the university communities are aware of the National Virtual Library and how much of use they made of it. A questionnaire was used to elicit information from 300 respondents comprising of academic staff, administrative staff and students. The outcome of the study showed that the respondents are aware of the National Virtual Library and are making use of the resources for their researches and administrative purposes. Recommendations were made for improvement on electricity supply; NUC should explore the possibility of providing National Virtual Library of Nigeria in CD-ROM format universities in the country should set their priority right by making adequate provision for computers.
