The paper deals with the quality of work life of professionals in public libraries in Andhra Pradesh. Quality of work life (QWL) is a sub-system of Human Resource Management. Quality of work life is nothing but the Quality of life that an employee experiences at his or her work place. This study is confined to Professionals working in State Central Library, Regional Libraries and Libraries under Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas. Walton's eight point criteria with a few additions has been taken to measure QWL in public libraries. This paper covers economic, social and psychological and organizational aspects of work life. Primary data is collected through questionnaires. Likerts five point scale is used to measure the opinions of respondents on each factor of QWL. Based on the findings of the study, some suggestions are given to improve the Quality of work life of professionals in public library system of Andhra Pradesh.
