Gender differences in the Usage and attitudes towards the Internet among students

Abstract

This paper aimed to study gender wise pattern of internet usage. A questionnaire survey was undertaken. It was found that males were frequent internet users than females. Time spent by males and females was more or less at par. Males used current awareness sites more than females. Females found spending more time on social network, music, games and films sites. It was observed that males look toward internet in more objective way than females. Females faced more technical and psychological barriers than males while using the internet.
