Studies related to ‘Bibliometrics’ is considered as an important area in the field of Library and Information Science. This paper demonstrates the ‘Citation Analysis of Ph.D theses in Psychology: A bibliometric study’ Obligatory data for the present study was collected form Ph.D theses in Psychology. These theses were submitted to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India during the period 1963 – 2003. Total 9275 citations are appended from 56 Ph.D theses. Journals contribute the highest number of citations accounting for 63.7% of total citations. Multi authored papers account for 63.32% of total citations. Journal of Applied Psychology’ occupies the first rank with 4.26% of total journal citations, USA ranks first by producing 34.92% of cited journals. Most of the cited journals of Psychology (94.6%) are in English language and maximum citations (47.62%) are from Psychology subject only.
