Institutional repositories (IR) have been treated as one of the disseminating and storage methods for scholarly research articles. However, the success of IR is dependent on the contribution of the academic scholars. In order to find out researchers’ attitude and their contribution to IR a study was conducted by taking 500 academic scholars from different engineering colleges in Karnataka state.
