Application of RFID in Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh: A Case Study

Much has already been written about RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), its working, its components, its use in libraries and the products available in the market. This paper is an attempt to study the practical problems and challenges faced by Dr. Tulsi Das Library of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research,(PGIMER), Chandigarh in implementing the RFID technology. The study also explores the application of this technology on library services along with its advantages and disadvantages in the library.
