Abstract

Cloud Computing is a completely new IT technology and it is known as the third revolution after PC and internet in IT. Cloud computing is the improvement of distributed computing, parallel computing, grid computing and distributed databases. Among them, grid computing and utility computing are known as the predecessors of cloud computing. However, referring to the motivation of its development, high-speed internet, virtualisation technology, more robust chips and hardware are all playing very important roles. Cloud computing can be applied in digital library resources to improve information sharing capabilities and improve resource utilisation.
